These are fantastic! Last year I tried photographing fireflies with single long exposures and the results were lackluster. Stacking images as you describe is such an obvious answer! I don't know why I didn't think of that before, but I'm going to try it this year. Thanks!

I haven't ever seen blue ghost fireflies before and the work to get both photographed is amazing.

My attempt was back in Arkansas a couple of years ago when I attempted to find some that I could get closer enough to. I will have to see if I can find those.

Hi John, this post blew me away! I've been attentively photographing for a long time and enjoy this series and your meticulous process to create these gems.
